DENVER — We're not done with the wind just yet! It'll be a breezy evening with gusts up to 40 mph in spots, especially across the plains.
Look for mostly cloudy skies in the Denver metro becoming mostly clear by Friday morning. Lows will dip into the low 40s overnight.
Friday will be a bit calmer as winds will be lighter compared to Thursday, though it may still be breezy in the afternoon. The Denver metro area is in for mostly sunny skies and seasonal temperatures in the lower 70s.
The 70-degree heat sticks around for the weekend! It'll be relatively quiet Saturday with only isolated gusty storms popping up in the late afternoon along the Front Range.
It will be a nice day for outdoor activities, though fire danger may remain elevated in dry areas east of the mountains due to lower humidity and occasional wind gusts.
Keep your eyes to the sky, Sunday! Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop during the afternoon. Some storms could be strong, so stay up-to-date on the latest conditions if you have any afternoon/evening outdoor plans.
The unsettled weather continues into Monday, with a chance for more showers and thunderstorms. Look for cooler temperatures in the low to mid 60s along with more cloud cover.
So far, we're expecting warmer and drier weather to make a comeback to the Denver metro by the middle of next week.
